Traces of Bali unveils the reality of children living on Bali's mountains of plastic and waste: communities surviving amid landfill sites where their parents recycle discarded materials to endure. UnitedWeDance visited these areas alongside children from the House of Hope orphanage, bringing art, care packages and education to those who face the harshest effects of inequality and environmental neglect.

What began as an outreach of love has become a chain of empowerment: children once helped are now helping others. Each brushstroke created together carries resilience, transforming pain into purpose and inspiring hope for a better future. By spotlighting the human cost of plastic pollution and poverty, the project calls for more conscious tourism, sustainable communities and responsible consumption.

Change begins with empathy and grows through partnership.

At its core, Traces of Bali reminds us that compassion, creativity and awareness can rebuild hope where it is needed most. The artwork exists as both film and canvas, and its sale flows back to the children whose story it tells.
