IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025.

From 9 to 15 October 2025, UnitedWeDance exhibited at the IUCN World Conservation Congress at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. The Congress convened governments, civil society, Indigenous Peoples' organisations, business, academia and youth to set priorities and accelerate action for nature and people. UnitedWeDance's participation proudly aligned with the UAE's Year of Community, under the tagline Hand in Hand, encouraging service, volunteering and knowledge sharing.

The stand in Hall 8 was built around connection: live action painting every other day, one NGO invited per exhibition day to join the canvas, and eight artworks shown from the collection of eighteen, each carrying a distinct impact story. Where an artwork is sold, the collaboration is formalised through an MOU that sets out revenue sharing and post-event support. During the Congress a Māori family performed as part of the work, collective expression becoming a legacy of cultural pride.

Art, media and partnership combined into a practical model for scaling impact.

By convening with Indigenous leaders and NGOs at one global gathering, UnitedWeDance could amplify voices without the added financial burden and carbon footprint of multiple long-haul field trips. The exhibit spoke directly to the Congress themes: inclusive co-creation that centres community voices for equity, a low-waste, re-usable performance setup with non-toxic, washable media for nature-positive economies, and movement translated into visual storytelling in real time as disruptive innovation for conservation.
